Strawberry trifle


This portion will server 6 persons.

For this lovely strawberry trifle you will need:

  • 400 grams of strawberries
  • A splash of rum
  • 250 grams of mascarpone
  • 2 pasteurized egg yolks
  • 1 spoon of vanilla sugar or ½ spoon of vanilla essence and one spoon of sugar
  • Around 15 Lady fingers


  1. Heat the strawberries and mash them. Add the rum and set it aside to cool
  2. Mix together the mascarpone, the egg yolks, and the vanilla
  3. Build the trifle: add some of the strawberry mixture in the bottom of the pan and add a line of Lady fingers on top. Then add another layer of strawberry and a layer of mascarpone. Continue until all the strawberry and mascarpone is used
  4. Set the trifle in the fridge overnight
  5. Before serving dust the top of the trifle with cocoa powder or grated chocolate
